Enjoy Tea by the Sea at the Getty Villa
Enjoy Tea by the Sea, a special experience inspired by the herbs, vegetables, and fruits that grow in the Villa's authentically re-created first-century Roman gardens. Feast on a Mediterranean-inspired menu of savory panini, sweet scones and tea breads, and gourmet cakes and tarts—along with fruits, cheeses, and a varied selection of teas. (Wine and prosecco are available for a small additional charge.) Tea is served in the Founder's Room, an elegant space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Villa.
Tea by the Sea was inspired by the Villa's authentically recreated first-century Roman gardens—and by visitors' fond memories of the Villa's beloved Tea Room, which closed in 1997. In a further tribute to early days of the Museum, the menu features Mrs. Garrett's carrot cake, made by our pastry chef from the personal recipe of Jean Garrett, the late wife of the Museum's first director, Stephen Garrett.

The Pacific Palisades Woman's Club is preparing for its signature event of the year, the 32nd Annual Holiday Home Tour and Boutique on Sunday, November 12, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Boutique opens at 10 am - 5 pm) Net proceeds from both events will be distributed to community charitable organizations through Grant Requests.
This year's Home Tour features the spectacular iconic 1927 Villa Leon, a mansion above PCH that is often mistaken for the Getty Villa. As interest in the Villa is expected to be high, please arrive early for the best viewing experience. In addition, an AIA Award Winning eclectic contemporary home and an updated Mid-Century modern home with elements of whimsy will add to the enjoyment of the day.
Two beautiful Italian exotic cars will be parked outside the Villa, courtesy of the Auto Gallery with a representative available to talk with visitors. For those that like to get behind the wheel, Tesla is offering test rides at another home on the tour, as well as a raffle for a "Tesla for a Weekend."
Please note that the homes are privately owned and are not handicapped accessible.
The much-loved Boutique will return as a special part of the Holiday Home Tour. We are happy to announce the exciting lineup of 40 merchants that include some of our past favorites alongside exciting local designers, merchants, and gourmet food trucks.
Free and convenient shuttles to the homes will depart from Pali Hi at 15777 Bowdoin. Parking is free. The homes will only be accessible by shuttle.
